Interesting that you would go from a Saturn to a Nissan. Every Saturn owner I know is a die hard. Personally I'm a Honda person. My husbands Honda has never been in the shop for anything other than routine maintenance and it's got over 250,000 miles on it. The resale on Hondas is awesome too. With such high milegae a guy offered him 5 grand for it and it's a '94. In fact he begged my husband to sell it to him. I have NEVER met an unhappy Honda owner.

There's always been a lot of car commercials on TV (and on movie screens now..grr) but you probally haven't paid any attention to them until you've started looking for a car.

I really like that Saturn VUE. Not too sure about that belt transmission, though. I'm also a fan of the Jeep Grand Cherokee and I'm interested in the hyrid cars too. They say its takes a while to get used to the car becoming very quiet when the engine cuts off and everything runs off the battery.

I don't think you can go wrong with Nissan. I'm on my second one with no problems whatsoever.

I had a 240SX coupe for four years which had the same basic 2.4l engine. Wicked-reliable with a timing chain instead of a belt. Congrats.
