Bob Wallace: 1949 - 2002

Software Pioneer Bob Wallace Dies

Bob Wallace was the ninth Microsoft employee. He left the company after 5 years to found Quicksoft. Their flagship product was PC-Write (I have fond memories of writing high-school essays using it). He's credited for the term 'shareware'. He died of pneumonia.
