New versions of Photoshop and Flash are both on their way.

Why can't Adobe and Macromedia organize their releases so they are staggered a few months apart??? Sigh.

It sounds as if Macromedia has its way, people will be building web sites using Flash alone, with HTML taking a backseat to merely link the Flash Player to the content. Hmmm. They've made some improvements in areas that have been of concern-- notably accessibility and bookmarking, but that won't stop people from making bad Flash sites.

Personally, I'd much rather keep Flash for what it's used best for-- used sparingly as icing on the XHTML cake.

Should you disagree, perhaps you should think twice before investing too much in a company that has suffered net losses of $247,189,000 in the past year (4 successive negative quarters).
