Love
He is still very loving toward me. If I go out on Saturday without him, he acts a little starved to be with me when I get back. At bedtime, we play a game. I kiss his cheek or head or arm. He wipes it away. “Mom, I wiped your kiss away.” I act offended. Then I kiss the middle of his back and say, “You can’t reach it.” This, or something similar, we do every night at tuck-in. One night I said my good night and, apparently, only gave a little hug and kiss. I left the room to help with the girls, and thirty seconds later I heard bawling. I went in to his room, and he cried, “Mama, you didn’t love me!”
