2nd child vocabulary and other lessons
It’s strange to me to hear Seth’s new words and not know when he learned them. I feel like I’m missing something. We always knew when Savannah picked up a new word. She had little television at his age, 2 1/2, and didn’t have a big sibling to give her new words. Naturally, I spent a lot more time with her one on one. But it’s nice, and I think the way it was intended, his learning from her. Today he pointed to a small map on a bag of coffee beans. I’ve heard him say “map”, but today when he saw a map of the globe spread flat, he said, “world.”
Savannah watched a safety video at school last week, warning children about strangers. With Seth she has been acting out this scenario. She is the stranger beckoning him. Then she whispers, “Say no, Seth.” He plays his part saying, “No!” with his palm in the air to stop the stranger.
