Words

He now puts the e sound on the end of "bye" and "baby."

And when Spongebob comes on he says, "Baaaahh" (Bob).

Food he likes

Seth loves his bread and sweets. He also likes baby lima beans (which we call butter beans), brocolli and cheese, fresh, cooked spinach, green beans with olive oil, fried okra, buttered carrots, strawberries, grapes, cantelope, peaches, bananas.

Tomorrow he'll try asparagus.

Firsts and favorites

His first word, in my opinion, is "dog." He has pronounced the whole thing, with both consonants! He also barks, "rrrough" or "rrarrgh." We're teaching him other animal names and their sounds but still barks when he sees giraffes, rhinos and such.

To top that, (Spongebob fans will understand.) his first sentence was "I'm ready." Brad chanted it like Spongebob does and Seth repeated it about three separate times. The consonants were soft but obviously there.

After hearing Savannah count 1, 2, 3, Go! before racing us down the hall, he will take off when we count like that. He also likes to race with us.

His favorite song is "This Little Light of Mine." He likes to blow on his finger and hold on to my finger, swinging it back and forth. I sing it to him before bed, and he reaches for the crib now before I can finish. He used to know "shhhh" also but now confuses it with blowing.

More words, dogs, 1st haircut

He is responding to more questions by nodding his head. It's very cute and deliberate, like today when I asked him if he'd seen a squirrel outside.

Whenever he sees animals now, especially dogs, he hollers/squeals high and loud, sounding like a monkey. Brad Googled something about dogs, and Seth was ecstatic. We should watch Animal Planet soon.

He got his first hair cut yesterday. The girl who does our hair let him watch her Boston Terrier while she held on to him. Seth got anxious, until I held on to him. It wasn't the first time he'd seen a dog, but he was quite little before and never decided if he wanted to play or push the dog away. He tried both.

The haircut is very cute. Nice and round, picture worthy.
