His little morning schedule

So fussy at breakfast lately. He was waking up at 6:30. Since the time change it's 5:30. This morning I believe he woke up right before 5. I left him in his crib hoping he'd go back to sleep. He did not. I think he rested his lungs some, may have even layed back down.

Even when I respond to him right away, it is a long time before he's happy. He waves his hands, throws his cup, cries between bites.... He acts like he's waking up too early!

It's not until he's downstairs with big sister and a cartoon, walking around inspecting toys, brushing his hair with my brush, trying to play with the outlets.... that he perks up. Not long after, it's nap time.

Stairs and moths

I saw Seth inspecting a moth beside my bedroom door, so with a puff I blew it under and out of his sight.

Because of my neck and head aches, I don't pick Seth up as much lately. When we leave the tv room, I say, "Let's go upstairs Seffie." He heads for the door and reaches for the knob (although he can't reach it yet.) One step at a time, he enthusiastically crawls upstairs.

This has been the year of the moths. We're still finding them here and there. So whenever Seth comes to a moth in a corner of a stair, he huffs and puffs, trying to blow it away.

Picking up

Seth still innocently gives us things when we hold out a hand for something. He hasn't figured out yet that some things, like food from the floor or poky toys, he doesn't get back : )

Boy noises

Some time ago, when my seasonal allergies started, and I was having to blow my nose more, Seth would get hold of a wipie and make blowing noises into it. About the same time, if I giggled when he tooted, he would giggle too. Now he mimics every noise he hears. When Savannah burps, he tries it too. When she sneezes, he walks around making a blowing, blubbery sound. There's a raspberry sound he especially likes. He thinks it's quite funny, and they entertain each other in the van with it.

Teasing me

Playing with outlets, standing up on the fire place, shaking the gate at the top of the stairs.... All things he knows I don't like because I run to get him and/or fuss at him. He moves to do them, starts, then looks at me with the smallest smile.

I can tell if I ignore some things, he loses interest and moves on to something else.

Not alone

He waves at his shadow now.

Walking

For a while Seth only wanted to practice his walking in the tv room downstairs. It is carpeted while the rest of the house has wood floors with area rugs. Now he wants to practice everywhere. He's still excited, and we urge him on. Yesterday he took a few steps in Savannah's room then turned and walked in another direction. Now, if I can get him to show off tonight at Bible study.
