Rubbing off

During a short time of my being really tired, Brad had watched the children long enough without me that Seth had started brushing his hands back and forth, as if dusting off crumbs, and Savannah had started calling Seth "little fella" which is Brad's current nick name.

Waiting for a response

Seth turns off the tv then looks over his shoulder at me. I say, "Seffie, turn the tv back on." He turns it back on.

Firsts

He climbed onto his riding toy by himself today. (He is already experienced at sliding off without any problem.)

He has also brought up a couple of shows on Tivo. Last night he exited "the practice" and played Smallville.

The thrill of the chase

Seth loves being chased. Of course he's still crawling. He goes into the marine crawl when he really wants to move. After a diaper changing struggle, I say "done" and off he goes. I say, "I'm gonna git Seffie." He giggles, tries to go his fastest then turns, like a cat, to see if I'm still after him.

His third hand

There's a plastic fried egg, from his sister's kitchen, that he loves to play around with. He has found a way to crawl around without dropping it. He discovered his third hand early. He puts it in his mouth.

His first utensil, leftovers

Seth has discovered that his wet finger acts as an adhesive. He points his finger at a Cheerio or other finger food and touches it to pick it up. Unfortunately he often pokes himself in the cheek with his finger, dropping his food in his lap.

But there isn't as much food falling in his lap as there used to be. He also cleans up after himself later. I found him standing at his high chair, reaching into the seat for leftovers.

Loves his music

He loves to dance and often claps his hands upon hearing music. He waves ni-night to Daddy, as soon as I stand up with him in the evenings. I say, "Kiss mah head, Daddy." Brad kisses his head, and I back out of the room everybody waving at each other. We're blowing kisses now. He has tried, putting his hand to his mouth, and I think I once heard a smack.

I have been singing to him before bed for a long time. Anymore, I start in with Jesus Loves Me and he starts swaying back and forth, dancing. He often pushes away from me and reaches for his crib before I finish our songs.
