Raw vegetables
Brad and I have been teaching Savannah's Sunday school class for several weeks. For the lesson this morning, God restores Israel after Exile (through Jeremiah), the Israelites were told to build houses and plant gardens. The lesson suggested raw vegetables. I brought broccoli, baby carrots, lettuce, and sugar snap peas. I was really happy to see most of them liking the sugar snap peas. I cut into the pod and let the children split them open to get the peas out. One girl really enjoyed the vegetables. Savannah did well too. I get the sense that she really wanted to please me. It went over my head at the time because I was dealing with six children. It's really sweet that she wants to make me happy. I have said numerous times when she and Seth eat a good supper, that it made me so happy. This morning I stressed to the children that if they eat this way at home, they will make their mothers so happy.
