The curse

A boy in kindergarten told Savannah about "the curse." I've no clue how it started with him. Savannah's given it her own meaning. At first, she said the curse was in the backyard. She did not seem scared at all, just mysterious. She tied a string around a paper towel roll, then taped that to the wall by the back door. Beside that she taped a sign to the wall that read, "The curse can break anything." Ominous but amusing. Every now and then she went to the door to look for the curse through her telescope.

One of the moms at worship service said Savannah gave her son a note that read, "We need to find more clues." Her son told her about the curse, saying he didn't know what the curse was but it only came out at night.

I finally asked her what the curse was, and she said she thought it was an alien, which she probably filled in from watching Lilo and Stitch. She told Daddy the other day it was a bird.
