Leprechaun
She got this idea from her kindergarten teacher. She wants to catch a leprechaun. So in the couple of days leading up to St. Patrick's day she talked about baiting a leprechaun. She made a chart, one side of the paper said "NO" at the top, the other side said "YES" with boxes underneath. She asked me if I had ever seen a real leprechaun. I had to go in the "NO" category. The woman who checks member cards at Costco said that, yes, she had seen one. Savannah sounded surprised and put her in the "YES" category.
So March 16th, she set a trap, paper on the kitchen loor, and on that paper she placed a green apple, a bottle of water, some green yarn, some of which she taped down, along with a picture she had drawn of a leprechaun, tall hat and elf ears. The next morning, the 17th, the water bottle was empty and everything was gone that hadn't been taped down!!
She wanted to keep at it, trying to place these traps all over the house. I told her St. Patrick's day had passed, and surely the leprechaun had gone back to Ireland.
