She's always craving Manhattan clam chowder these days. A few weeks ago, she complained a lot about her stomach, and complained even more about her legs hurting. I figured she was about to have a growth spurt. She ate what we gave her and asked for more. She's definitely gotten taller already and I expect will grow taller quite soon. Perhaps she'll take after some of her taller relatives :)
Savannah: "Mom, have you seen my Disney card?" (A gift card promotion, junk mail, we got in the mail two or three months ago.)
Mama: (Knowing exactly what had happened to it.) "Well, where did you last see it?"
Savannah: "Underneath your keybird." (keyboard)
Mama: "Well, you know we can't keep things forever."
Savannah: "Did one of you throw it in the trash?"
Pause.
Mama: "How's your clam chowder?"
We can tell she's about to have a growth spurt. Her face is nicely round lately; she cleans her plate and asks for more, and her shins are hurting.
She's especially enjoying clam chowder and chicken and gravy. She had pot roast and rice yesterday and pasta alfredo the day before, enjoying all of them. For the most part, it's cute to see it happening.
