Savannah wasn't happy about my putting her back into her carseat today. As she was fussing, I kissed her cheek, which she promptly and for the first time, wiped away.
When I'm getting ready for taebo, Savannah puts her shoes on too and even attempts the moves. After she became familiar with the tapes, she wanted me to tie the bow on one of her shirts. When she said "tie bow" she looked at me with a little thoughtfulness or maybe it was amusement, and I knew she made the connection.
We left the house early one day last week so I could go run an errand before we went to Wilton to pick up Brad. I turned left off of our road instead of the usual right to get Brad. Savannah, in an upset tone, pointed to the right and whined, "Daddy." She also says "Lorena and Eric" or "church" when we get to exit 5/Claphboard Ridge in Danbury cause that's the way to their house and the church building, and for quite a while she has said "bagel and cream cheese" when we get off the bypass to turn onto Federal Road en route to Starbucks. Perhaps someday she'll navigate the stars :)
Not long ago, her baby doll was talking, and Savannah wanted to put her to bed to go night night. So Savannah turned her over, switched the button to off and put the doll in the baby bed. Brad and I got a nice laugh out of that one.
Today while Savannah watched cartoons on the couch, I sat down in the floor and stared at her, smiling. She touched my arm and said in her baby pronunciations, "Turn around. Watch Little Bill."
The other day, her battery operated baby doll said, "Kiss me Mommy." twice. So twice, Savannah kissed her. She rocks her baby dolls and suddenly wants to be picked up more, usually to see what I'm making in the kitchen, epecially cake, cookies and anything chocolate. The apple doesn't fall far.
Savannah's learning her ABC's and numbers. She recognizes a few, and I guide her hand to print them.
There was no real date that Savannah became officially potty trained. I kept waiting for that day in order to blog about, but after a week went by with no accidents, that I knew of, I got blog-lazy. She had a slight accident the other day, but she'd had a *lot* to drink. I'd say she was trained at about 2 years and 2 months.
