We believe this past week has seen Savannah's first complete sentences. One is sometimes garbled, I want ball, I want my ball, and Mama, I want my ball. as well as Mama, come! Getting a little demanding?
A gracious thank you to Leigh Ellen who suggested a playtime in addition to naptime. Savannah is in her crib playing with her doll and her musical book. She's becoming more content with being alone in there and eventually falling asleep in the breeze of the fan. Now I have time to sit in the sun and read.
Some friends of ours loaned us a Step 2 kiddie gym just yesterday. After breakfast today, Savannah stood at the glass doors shouting "SI" which is her word for outside. She's been shouting that since last winter's first snow, I think. Of course when she plays outside I'm anxious about every piece of dirt I see on her, thinking it must be a tick. (We live in Lyme heaven up here in Connecticut.) But we've all had a lot of fun with the gym so far.
Yesterday, Savannah found a trial size container of deodorant, (still with its seal attached) and lifted her arm to rub it on her armpit. Later, she tried filing her nails like Mama does. Today, while playing peekaboo, she discovered her eyelashes :)
