Savannah's grasp of verbs and abstract words is growing. Even though she can't or won't say all the words, she knows, let's "go" to the car. let's "go" outside. She understands "put" that up or "put" that in the trash. Savannah picked up "say" a long time ago. "Say" baby. "Say" frog. She understands some opposites, when we go up the stairs, she says "up" at every step just like I do and down when we go downstairs. She has touched a glass of ice water or stepped on the slate floor in the basement and said "cold." When she touches the oil vents on the baseboards or sees me take anything out of the microwave, she says "hot." I'm sure there are some I'm leaving out, but soon, she'll know so many, there won't be enough time to write them all down.
