About Brad: Philosophy

Alcohol

I don’t drink. Never had a beer. It started as a religious thing… but I think today, even though I’m still religious, I don’t drink because it’s something that I just don’t need. For one, I don’t like the smell of alcohol. I don’t like how much it costs. I don’t like how it makes one act (I’ve seen some really prime examples of that). It dulls your reflexes. It’s lethal when mixed with driving. I prefer to be in control of my body at all times, thank you.

Tobacco

I don’t smoke (boy my insurance company loves me for that). Like most kids, I was tempted to growing up. But I never tried it. No regrets — I’m glad I didn’t.

Drugs

No drugs either. See also: Medicine, Alcohol, Tobacco.

Tattooless

No tattoos. No (ear|nose|you-name-it)rings. Nothing pierced. I’m happy with my body (such as it is).

God

I believe in God and Jesus Christ. My parents taught me about all that, but I’ve independently come to believe it myself. You and I don’t see eye-to-eye on a lot of things, I’m sure. If this happens to be one of them, don’t worry — I won’t hit you over the head with my Bible.

Guns

I’ve fired a gun before, but just for target practice type stuff. I don’t own one and never will. At the same time, I’m for the right to bear arms. If that were taken away, I think it would make crime that much easier.

X-Mas

I don’t celebrate Christmas (or “Winter Solstice” or “Saturnalia” from which it derives). Aside from the sickening commercialization of it all, Christ wasn’t born on December 25th.
