Tender hearted
A few days ago, I saw Arwen quietly dropping one Cheerio at a time off the edge of her high chair. I sweep all the time and even though it's a little milestone for them to learn gravity, I'm not excited about cleaning up deliberate messes. So I made eye contact and said something like no, no Arwen and shook my finger at her. Ok, compared to the sternness I use with Savannah and Seth, this was nothing. Nevertheless, the scolding she recognized. She's heard it used with her siblings. Her brow turned cross, she puckered up her little mouth and cried; two big tears popped out of her eyes. It was really sweet. I haven't seen her do it again, yet.
